Alex Knox is a Richmond native and served as the lead coordinator for the Tom Butt for Mayor campaign. He is half Hispanic and fluent in Spanish and intermediate German. He graduated from Guilford College with a BA in Political Science. While in school he served as a steering committee member of the student government and was a key organizer for an annual college access conference geared towards Latino high school students.In the summer of '09 he worked as an intern at former Congressman George Miller's D.C. office. Alex was recently elected as an Assembly District Delegate to the CA Democratic Party as an advocate for increased civic engagement from youth and in emerging populations.

Christopher Whitmore is a Richmond native and has aspired to serve his community through public service since childhood. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Public Law from Webster University in St. Louis, MO in 2014 and moved to Washington, D.C to participate in a congressional fellowship through the National Student Leadership Forum immediately after graduating. As a part of his fellowship, Christopher worked as an intern in the Office of United States Senator Bill Nelson (D-FL) before returning home to Richmond. Before joining Mayor Tom Butt’s staff, Christopher was the Outreach Coordinator for West County in the Office of Congressman Mark DeSaulnier.

Irene Perdomo is a Richmond native and joined Mayor Tom Butt’s office as a student intern. Born to Salvadorean parents, she is fluent in Spanish and enjoys teaching her 3 year old daughter about their heritage. Irene joined the United States Marine Corps Reserve in 2006 and was recently promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant, and serves Marines at a logistics unit in San Jose, CA. Irene is also pursuing an Urban Studies and Planning Degree at San Francisco State University.
