The Community Services Department offers affordable, year-round aquatic programs at two locations, the Richmond Plunge and the Richmond Swim Center. We offer a wide variety of programs (swim lesson level descriptions). All programs are  led by professional, enthusiastic, American Red Cross certified pool staff. Swimmers of all ages and abilities will discover that the benefits of aquatic instruction, recreation and fitness are endless.

BECOME A LIFEGUARD! 

The Lifeguard Training Course provides American Red Cross certification to participants who pass the written and practical portions of the course. The next course is scheduled for Sept 9- Sept 24. Passing the Precourse is required to continue into the Lifeguard Training. See flyer for details and requirements. Registration is required. Register online or at the Richmond Recreation Complex registration office.

SWIM LESSON - sessions now open for Fall Swim Lessons for ages 3 years old & up. Register online or at the Richmond Recreation Complex registration office. 


NOTICE
Due to a maintenance issue on the shallow end of the Richmond Plunge, there is no Family Recreation Swim at the Richmond Plunge. All Family Recreation Swim sessions are at the Richmond Swim Center until further notice. For more information click Family Recreation Swim.

Admission & Supervision Requirements for Richmond Swim Center


Due to the water depth of the pool: Children 8 & under must be attended by and supervised at arms distance in the water and deck area at all times by an adult, with a limit of two children per adult. Please be advised that all swimmers are expected to wear appropriate swim attire.
