    The Design Review Board functions as the decision-making body for the design of new development projects and most exterior changes to existing buildings. The Board also acts as an advisory body to the Planning Commission in cases also involving a land use decision. The Board's decisions can be appealed to the City Council, which can uphold the Board's decision, overturn it, or modify it. Come and join us!

  1. Economic Development Commission

    Economic Development Commissioners are appointed by the Mayor. The purpose of this Commission is to advise the City Council and City officials on proposed activities for the development of the City’s port, marina and other overall economic development of the City. The Commission shall work with the City Manager and his designees on projects which substantially affect overall economic development in the City. Staff resources necessary to facilitate economic development shall be coordinated through the City manager’s Office.

  2. AC Transit Public Hearing on Line 70 in Richmond

    The AC Transit Board of Directors seeks the public’s input on service change proposals for implementation in December 2018. The proposals affect existing local lines 14, 70, 96, 217. They also include the addition of a new route to two new East Oakland Park and Ride facilities, and trips from the Transbay Bus Storage Facility to the East Bay.
