 The Richmond Recreation Division is hosting a Citywide Youth Track Meet on May 27, 2023, at Martin Luther King Jr. Park. This event is open to all kindergarten through 8th-grade students, and registration is open.

This is a fantastic opportunity for young athletes to showcase their talent, have fun, and meet new friends from different schools. Participants will have a chance to compete in various track and field events. This track meet event is for school-aged competitors, which encourages participation with an emphasis on fun.

Participants may enter 2 events and 1 field event or 2 field events and 1 running event. All participants will sign-up for relay events on the day of the event. Warm-ups start at 11 am

Track Events:

• 50-Meter Dash (2nd Grade & Under
• 100-Meter Dash (All Grades)
• 200-Meter Dash (2nd-8th Grades)
• 800-Meter Dash (6th-8th Grades)
• 4x100 Coed Relay (1st-8th Grades)
• 4x200 Coed Relay (2nd-8th Grades)

Field Events:

• Fitness Test (Grades 3,4, & 5)
• Javelin Throw (1st-8th Grades)
• Long Jump (All Grades)
• Shot Put (Grades 4th-8th)
• 4x100 Parents/Coach Relay (1st-8th Grades)
