Community Quilt Project
Spark your creativity and explore the quilt making process while representing yourself and your community in the diverse tapestry of Richmond!
Richmond community members are invited to create a 10" x 10" quilt square ("block") to be included in our Community Quilt.
Quilt Square submissions can be turned in at Main/Civic Center, Bayview, and West Side libraries until November 30, 2024.

Community Quilt Submission Guidelines:
Embroidered, hand- or machine-pieced blocks, and/or blocks decorated with textile paint or fabric marker are accepted as long as they meet the following criteria:
- Quilt blocks must be 10” x 10”.
- Quilt blocks must have a ½ inch border (seam allowance).
- Quilt blocks must be made of 100% cotton fabric.
One quilt block per person.
Submission of a square does not guarantee inclusion in the project and the Library reserves the right to refuse quilt squares at the Library’s discretion.
Community Cookbook Project
Join us in celebrating the diverse culinary traditions of Richmond and help create new ones by contributing an original or family recipe to our Community Cookbook. Richmond community members are invited to submit their own recipes to create Community Cookbook showcasing the cuisines of Richmond.
Recipe submission forms are available at Richmond Public Library locations or online at richmondlibrary.org.
Recipe submissions are limited to one recipe per person and will be accepted until November 30, 2024.
