Richmond community members are invited to create a 10" x 10" quilt square ("block") to be included in our Community Quilt.

Quilt Square submissions can be turned in at Main/Civic Center, Bayview, and West Side libraries until November 30, 2024.

For more information call (510) 620-6561.

This project was made possible with support from California Humanities, a non-profit partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities. Visit www.calhum.org

Embroidered, hand- or machine-pieced blocks, and/or blocks decorated with textile paint or fabric marker are accepted as long as they meet the following criteria:

  • Quilt blocks must have a ½ inch border (seam allowance).
  • Quilt blocks must be made of 100% cotton fabric.

Community Cookbook Project

Join us in celebrating the diverse culinary traditions of Richmond and help  create new ones by contributing an original or family recipe to our Community Cookbook.  Richmond community members are invited to submit their own recipes to create Community Cookbook showcasing the cuisines of Richmond.

Recipe submission forms are available at Richmond Public Library locations or online at richmondlibrary.org.

Recipe submissions are limited to one recipe per person and will be accepted until November 30, 2024.

For more information call (510) 620-6561.
