The Richmond Police Department conducted a memorial service to commemorate National Police Week, and honor officers who gave their lives in service of the community.
The names of the Richmond officers who died in the line of duty were read aloud, and an address by Captain Tim Simmons was given to department members.
The event was attended by members of the department, City Manager Curl, Community and Interim Library Services Director White, and Fire Chief Montoya.
