750 volunteers in Richmond collected over 3,800 pounds of trash and recyclable items.
On Saturday, September 19, volunteers gathered along the Richmond shoreline to collect trash as part of the 25th anniversary of the California Coastal Cleanup Day. More than 5600 peices of stryrofoam, 4700 plastic bags, 4100 food wrappers, 2,000 plastic straws and 1,000 plastic casings from shotgun use were collected.
