The Richmond Chamber of Commerce is a private, non-profit, membership-driven organization comprised of over 400 business enterprises, civic organizations, education institutions and individuals. Its mission is to promote the community, provide networking and business resources, strengthen the local economy, represent business to government and elect pro-business candidates.
Position: Membership Sales Executive
Reports to the Director of Membership and Chamber Services in a fast paced and result driven environment.
Essential Functions: Contacting prospective members and selling Richmond Chamber memberships; meeting budgeted revenue goals; Seeking prospective members by conducting cold calls and following up appropriately; Informing members on membership benefits, Chamber events, functions; Participating in related Chamber events and networking opportunities; Submitting reports in a timely manner; Attending sales meetings; and Improving sale skills and marketing techniques. Other duties may be assigned by the Director of Membership and Chamber Services.
Requirements: Must be an independent self-starter with a professional demeanor; Have previous sales experience; Have and maintain a dependable vehicle with proof of insurance and a valid license; Posses a high school diploma; Have strong verbal, written, and organizational skills; Proficient in Excel and Word; and have ability to learn database management software.
Compensation: Commission based at 45% of membership fee with bonus plan and flexible schedule.
