Starting February 20, 2026, construction of the Bay Trail officially rolls into the Point Molate Beach Park area. Crews will begin preparing and clearing the future trail route as work gets underway.

Good news for park lovers and four legged adventurers: Point Molate Beach Park will remain open during construction. Visitors are welcome to continue enjoying the park while the contractor implements safety measures to keep the site secure.

The new Bay Trail segment is expected to open to the public in late 2026 or early 2027, bringing an exciting new stretch of waterfront access to the community.
