The North Richmond Mobile Tool Library was created in part to support volunteer-based beautification projects in North Richmond. Collaborations with other organizations with the help of volunteers allow us to take part in and/or host events that accomplish what we all want: a cleaner place to live!
Upcoming Events and Updates:
Memberships at the North Richmond Mobile Tool Library are increasing! We are more than grateful that North Richmond residents are becoming members and using our service to check out tools for their home projects. Make sure to keep an eye on this page for upcoming volunteer/community events that we will be attending.
Past Projects & Events:
The Watershed Project's Hope Gardens
The Watershed Project gathered hardworking high school students and other volunteers to do some sidewalk renovation on North Richmond streets. Utilizing Mobile Tool Library tools, they transformed dry areas of dirt and weeds into beautiful little gardens that will grow and flourish over time.
Earth Day 2022

North Richmond Earth Day events on April 22 and 23, 2022 included Verde Safe Route to School's Community Clean-up event! This was also the beginning of the North Richmond Mobile Tool Library's Soft Launch! A collaboration with Urban Tilth, The Watershed Project, and North Richmond Green led to this 2-day clean-up of Giaramita St and the nearby creek, as well as beautiful stencil art leading from Verde Elementary School to Shields-Reid Community Center.
Our First Community Clean-Up
The North Richmond Mobile Tool Library hosted our own clean-up event! On Saturday, June 11, 2022, 23 volunteers came together and removed trash, debris, and weeds from Contra Costa County Housing Authority Properties. We ended up with 27 full bags of trash! The Richmond Fire Department also had a team stop by to help us in our event!
