About the Snow Ball
For 73 years, the Snow Ball has been a hallmark of December in Richmond, a celebration woven into the city's history. Conceived by the City of Richmond and nurtured by Community Services-Recreation, it has recognized exceptional high school students who embody both academic excellence and civic dedication from all over the West Contra Costa School District (Seniors from Charter/Private Schools in Richmond also qualify). Through a rigorous selection process, students with a minimum GPA of 3.5 and notable civic contributions have been chosen to represent their schools. In these evolving times, we call upon your generosity to ensure the legacy continues. Together, we pave the way for the next generation.
