The City of Richmond has partnered with Intuitive Municipal Solutions (iMS) to offer our community a streamlined process with increased communication and efficiency in Permitting, Planning and Code enforcement activities. The new system will require community members, businesses and contractors to submit applications and payments online and allow you to view previously issued permits and receive immediate feedback on applications.         Visit Our Software Partner

New on-line portal for doing business with the city.

In addition, iMS users are able to:

  • Apply for a business tax certificate
  • Register as a business professional/owner or contractor to unsure that all business performed in Richmond is linked to your account
  • Report a concern/complaint
  • View property information
  • View planning and zoning projects
  • File a code enforcement report

New Users to the online iMS Portal

New users to the system just need to create an account in the system and begin the process.

All new permit applications need to be submitted through the iMS web portal.

Why am I not seeing any way to apply for permits? I am just seeing searching and reports.

Why am I not seeing the type of permit I want to apply for?

I did not receive a confirmation email.
