Youth Works Richmond

About Us

The mission of YouthWORKS is to equip every Richmond youth ages 16-24 with the knowledge and experience they’ll need to be successful in real-world work environments through work-based learning, financial literacy/work-readiness workshops, and personalized one-on-one career counseling.

Services are participation-based and may include:

  • Work Experience (WEX)
  • On-the-Job Training
  • Apprenticeship Training
  • Business/Industry Trips
  • Life Skills Workshops
  • Work Readiness workshops
  • Support Services

YouthWORKS is part of the city's efforts to reduce violence by providing opportunities to youth with Work Experience.
The responsibility for training our youth & giving them the skills and opportunities they need to become productive citizens belongs to everyone.

"Our goal has always been to get to 1,000 kids and a $1 million program," Jay Leonhardy (The True Rainmakers)
