"California's Gold" is a visual travel log featuring interesting places to visit in the golden state. The 30-minute series was produced and hosted by the late Huell Howser.
In addition to "California's Gold," Howser produced other Gold-related spinoffs, including "California's Green," "California's Golden Coast," "California's Golden Parks," and "California's Water." KCRT airs selected episodes of those series in "California's Gold" regular time slots.
Along with KCRT Television, the program airs on all 13 PBS affiliates in the state and is used in over a thousand schools and libraries as a resource for people to learn more about our state's rich history, cultural diversity and natural wonders.
