KCRT presents "NewsBytes," a block of short segments spotlighting Richmond and surrounding areas.
Some of segments featured on this KCRT original series include: The Groundbreaking Ceremony of The Richmond Transit Village Intermodal Transit Station, The Greenway Groundbreaking, Richmond Port Tour, Terminal One, Green Building Workshop, the Swearing-In and Receptions of the new Police Chief and Fire Chief, National Night Out, and The Office of Emergency Services (O.E.S.).
Featuring rotating segments in most telecast, "NewsBytes" also features special theme episodes. Some of those specials are Richmond Build, the Rosie The Riveter Visitor Center Opening, and highlights of the Cinco de Mayo, Juneteenth, National Night Out, and Richmond Plunge events.
As part of "NewsBytes," some episodes features a special pieces on new and local Richmond businesses in an on-going segment called "Business Bytes."
