ARPA Small Business Support Program
Program Update
The ARPA Small Business Support Program has concluded its final grant round. The program was celebrated through a final round of check presentation last December 12, 2025.
To date, the program has awarded $350,000 to 48 local businesses, helping strengthen Richmond’s commercial corridors and support businesses impacted by COVID-19.
Ongoing Business Support
While grant funding is no longer available, business classes and technical assistance remain active through the Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center. These services will continue through the end of 2026 or until remaining funds are fully expended.
Eligible entrepreneurs are encouraged to continue participating in free business workshops, consultations, and capacity-building programs offered in partnership with the City of Richmond.

Program Purpose
Funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), the program was designed to support small businesses most impacted by COVID-19 by providing direct financial assistance and long-term business development resources.
