Fire Hazard Severity Zones in Local Responsibility Area
ADOPTED BY CITY COUNCIL: JUNE 3, 2025
1. Government Code 51178 requires the State to identify moderate and high severity zones in addition to very high.
2. Previous Local Responsibility Area (LRA) maps only contained very high.
3. The new maps may include new areas that were not previously identified by the State Fire Marshal.
1. The City of Richmond has 30 days from the release date to share the draft map for public review and comment per Government Code 51178.5.
