Overview

The teacher strike in West Contra Costa Unified School District (WCCUSD) began on Thursday, 12/4/2025

All school campuses are expected to remain open; however, we know many families are looking for additional support and alternative options for their children during the strike.

The City of Richmond is working with community partners to provide limited programs, safe spaces, and resources for children and youth. While we cannot serve every student affected by the strike, we are committed to doing our part to support families who need it most.

This page will be updated as new information becomes available.
